7 Things to Send JVs to Get Them Onboard
One of the biggest moments of failure that is easily preventable is the first contact you have with a prospective joint venture partner. In order to achieve maximum success, there are several things you need to do.
You need to work an introduction and casual friendly relationship before you do any recruiting. Marketers get inundated with promo requests and they hate accepting a Facebook friend request, only to have it followed up with a JV opportunity mere seconds later.
Once thatís established, and youíre certain that your product will be a good fit for their list, you can reach out and plant the idea of promoting your launch into their heads. But you need to send them seven things to ensure a higher level of success ñ and the earlier you send it, the better.
First, make sure you mention the exact launch details ñ include the date, time (in EST), and length of the launch. Keep in mind there should never be a need for them to email you back with a question. If you fail to provide everything upfront, youíll have many marketers who simply delete your email.
Include a link to your JV page as well as the link to the affiliate page of your product on whatever platform youíre selling it on ñ such as JVZoo, Warrior Plus, or elsewhere. Some will bypass your JV page and want to go straight to requesting their link.
Include a products spec list. This is perfect if theyíre the kind of marketer who wants to tell their list whatís in the product, and wants to simply cut and paste your list into their email.
Send them the flow of the funnel with pricing at each level. So for instance, if you have a front end for $17, followed by a one time offer of $27 and a second one time offer for $47, spell it out.
If there are any downsells, include that as well. This helps your potential JV partner know what the profit potential is for the funnel. Many marketers tell their lists ahead of time what OTO options are available.
Swipe files are an important piece of the pie when approaching JV partners. You can certainly have them on the JV page, but another great gesture is to craft a swipe file in the same voice and style of the marketer, so that itís tailored to their list using their own methods.
You can include a custom bonus page for your prospective JV partners, too. You can have a bonus page with their name on it that informs buyers of a special bonus they get when purchasing through their link.
And lastly, donít forget the number one most important element to secure a yes ñ the review copy. While many marketers do promote sight unseen, most ethical marketers will want to test drive the product or see if they feel the information is valuable to their readers beforehand.
